Top Gear is CANCELLED
Whilst the Brits are having their own issues, it has been announced this morning that the US version of Top Gear has been cancelled.
After six seasons on air, the History channel has axed the show but BBC Worldwide has released a statement hinting towards a continuation of the car show elsewhere.
We are fully committed to the hugely successful Top Gear brand – known all over the world – and have begun exploring new opportunities for the series in the US.
One of the three presenters, Rutledge Wood, took to his Facebook page this morning to express his feelings on the cancellation.
He also said that the three presenters “will stick together” and that they “hope to bring you much more Top Gear USA”. Perhaps they will follow in the footsteps of Clarkson, May and Hammond who will be launching their new show, The Grand Tour, this autumn.
