Snoop Dogg says “I will drop whatever I have on” to duet with Honey G in the X Factor final
We’re not quite sure what’s happening, but Honey G’s number one fan Snoop Dogg has taken his love for the X Factor singer one step further in a vow to duet with her.
X Factor‘s controversial rapping contestant has picked up her fair share of criticism after being selected to make it through to the live shows. But who cares when you have the legendary Snoop Dogg on your side?
Last month, the Daily Star Online reported that Snoop Dogg said that he would collaborate with Honey G should she get axed before the live shows.
His offer was unnecessary, however, as Honey G defied all odds in making it through to the next round of the competition. But Snoop has not stopped there. He now wants to team up with the hip-hop artist more than ever it seems.
No, this isn’t a joke.
Snoop has admitted that he is such a fan of Honey G that he’s going to perform probably the world’s most memorable duet with her if she makes it to the final. Today he told the Daily Star: “It’s crazy the public getting on Sharon’s back about putting Honey G in the finals.”
“When people have been managing the biggest bands in the world for 40 years, they can question her. Until then, critics can shut the hell up.”
He supported the “North Weezy” singer, saying: “She knows what she is doing. She knows the public want to be entertained.”
“What’s the alternative? Listen to 12 people sing power ballads for the whole season? Simon and Sharon know that ain’t going to make a fun show.”
And here comes the best bit. Snoop continued to promise a duet with the finalist, insisting: “I will drop whatever I have on to give them an X Factor exclusive and duet with Honey.”
He added: “I hope that encourages fans to pick up the vote and keep her in, because I guarantee we can give a performance like The X Factor ain’t never seen before.”
Does anyone else suddenly really want Honey G to make it to the finals?
Last weekend Honey G delivered an, err, interesting performance of “California Love” by Tupac and sailed into the next round, leaving Bratavio and Saara Aalto in the bottom two.
Will the rapper proceed to the finals to “Drop It Like It’s Hot” with Snoop? We hate to admit, but we kind of hope so now.
X Factor continues Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
