29 gifs in defence of the Kardashians
It’s our unshakeable opinion that anybody who doesn’t like the Kardashian / Jenner family just hasn’t taken the time to get to know them properly. I mean, how could someone who’s ever sat down with even a single episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, or any of the family’s other spinoff shows dislike them?
So many misconceptions fly around the internet about Kim being stuck up, Khloe being talentless, Kylie being fake… the list of criticisms is endless. But are these accusers aware of how downright hilarious and self-effacing Kim can be? Or of what a straight up feminist diva Khloe is? Have they seen how calmly Kourtney handles herself in – let’s face it – an utterly chaotic marriage? Clearly, the detractors know nothing. Here to set things right are 35 incredible gifs in defence of the Kardashian Jenner family. Long may they reign.
Firstly, nobody gives enough credit to the fact that Kim is totally humble. The woman knows her limitations, and isn’t afraid to poke fun at herself, as evidenced by this interview:
When her marriage to Kris Humphries was headed down the toilet, Kim was more concerned for other people than herself. “I invited all these people to this huge wedding and flew everyone out, wasted everyone’s time and everyone’s money – everyone’s everything – and I feel bad”, cried the poor sweetheart.
And how does your heart not just melt upon seeing that crying face? If Kim weren’t completely down to earth, do you think she’d let scenes like this make the cut on her show?
While we’re on the topic of keeping up appearances, can we just remind everyone how Khloe is just the realest about saying F.U. to body shaming?
There’s no denying her body confidence had has a positive influence on the younger generation, as shown by an adorable baby Kylie jumping to her defence about societal pressures for her to lose weight.
We love how the Kardashian-Jenners are always there to bolster one another no matter what. Never before has there been a mother-in-law as supportive as Kris is to Kanye:
I mean this is some proper next-level fangirling.
Even when her mothering choices are, uh… ‘questionable’ to say the very least, you can’t say Kris is anything but encouraging to her daughters.
Although that being said, few things give us more joy than the girls’ too-cool rebuffing of their mother’s attempts at love and affection.
That brings us to how much we adore the Jenner young’ns. Kendall is the ultimate icon of 21st century teenage attitude. She teaches us it’s okay to think everything is embarrassing and annoying.
How can anyone this gorgeous still be so bashful and unassuming? Give the girl a medal!
Also, she’s not afraid to say what we’ve all been thinking in a way that still manages to be oh so chic.
Can I get an amen? Kylie on the other hand is less retiring in front of the camera, and we just love her for it.
We just wish we had that kind of sass when we were 18. Bow down to the queen.
The youngest sister is still capable of the deep thoughts, though.
Maybe she gets this serious and sensitive side from long suffering eldest sister Kourtney, who counters all Kris’s self-centred juvenility by stepping up to the role of her mother hen.
This doesn’t make Kourt boring, though. Not according to herself, anyway.
Our hearts probably go out to Kourtney the most, considering what a pillar of strength she’s been throughout her marriage to infamous manchild Scott Disick.
^ Married life hack! She’s not bitter about Scott’s complete neglect for her as a wife, though. Instead, she deals like a saint.
Meanwhile, you’ve gotta respect Scott for being the only person on the planet to repeatedly address the Kardashian family as ‘peasants’ to their faces.
Conversely, he’s also not afraid to continually call his wife’s family out for their privilege.
Is it any wonder Kourtney reacts like this?
And with guys like Scott around it’s really no wonder that the Kardashians are all about the female.
Khloe knows she’s got bigger balls than most men. I mean, she’s a hardened jailbird…
Which is something that she keeps reminding her fellow Kardashians about.
In fact, these sisters are pretty competitive about pretty much everything. Here’s Kim talking about Kourtney.
Anyway, maybe we’ve been going on for too long now. We should probably wrap up for fear of judgment.
