Outnumbered is returning for a Christmas special!
The Brockmans are returning to our screens this Christmas for a one-off special.
Original cast Hugh Dennis, Claire Skinner, Tyger Drew-Honey, Daniel Roche and Ramona Marquez are all set to return to Outnumbered for the special catch-up into the lives of the Brockmans. The kids are now teenagers, but probably no more controllable.
Outnumbered creator Andy Hamilton announced the news in an interview with the Telegraph yesterday, explaining the new special will reveal everything that’s happened since their last outing on telly screens in 2014.
He said: “The first reaction will probably be ‘My God, the kids are huge now!'”
“The second reaction will be the one the writers have been getting since the series started in 2007: ‘I reckon you must have cameras in our house’.”
This could well be the case, as a picture of the young cast reunited earlier this year went viral after fans were shocked by how grown-up Drew-Honey, Roche and Marquez now looked.
Fans took to Twitter in their hordes, many claiming not to be able to recognise the childhood stars.
One reposted the image with the words “IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO REALISE WHO I WAS LOOKING AT”.
Another commented: “Seeing how grown up the outnumbered kids are now makes me feel so old :(((“.
Despite many of us now feeling older than ever before, we’re sure Jake, Ben and Karen will receive a warm welcome once more this Christmas.
