New Rupert Grint drama Snatch to air in the UK
The new drama Snatch, starring Harry Potter‘s Rupert Grint, is set to receive its UK premiere on AMC.
The ten-episode series will air for the first time on British screens on AMC, exclusive to BT subscribers, on Halloween (October 31) at 10pm.
Based loosely on the popular Guy Ritchie film of the same name, Snatch revolves around a group of hustlers who hit the big time when they discover a considerable amount of stolen gold bullion. Suddenly, they’re dealing with the worst of the London criminal underworld.
The series first aired last year on Sony Picture Television streaming service Crackle, where it received critical acclaim. Critics praised its ambition, with People Magazine declaring it a fitting tribute to the original film, writing: “the reboot preserves the flashy grittiness of the 2000 crime caper but with a new generation of hucksters”.
Snatch stars Rupert Grint, of Harry Potter fame, as well as big names such as Luke Pasqualino (The Musketeers), Dougray Scott (Desperate Housewives) and Juliet Aubrey (Iris). The series was created and executive produced by The Calcium Kid writer Alex De Rakoff.
