The premiere of season six of Game of Thrones draws ever closer and we are desperate for any nugget of footage we can watch.
A behind-the-scenes featurette, containing several glimpses into the new season, has been released on the official Game of Thrones Youtube page today (February 29).
The featurette, which is titled “Inside GOT“, examines the work of camera operators on the hit fantasy series. They discuss achieving the visions of the many directors who work on the show, breaking down camera shots of characters and settings in a scene, and the difficulty of filming on the various Game of Thrones terrains.
“Inside GOT” gives fans their first real footage from the upcoming season after two brief teaser trailers, including a scene showing a conversation held between enemies Davos and Red Priestess Melisandre at Castle Black. In past seasons, the pair have disagreed on the route Stannis Baratheon should take to become king, before following Melisandre’s instructions ultimately led to the death of Stannis.
There’s also a snippet of Jorah hunting down Daenerys, who was last seen surrounded by a Dothraki tribe after being flown to safety by dragon Drogo.
