New Alesha Dixon-fronted show Dance Dance Dance will rival Strictly Come Dancing
ITV have confirmed a new dance competition show that will rival the BBC’s well-loved Strictly Come Dancing.
Dance Dance Dance has been billed as a ‘big production rival to Strictly Come Dancing‘ and will be coming to television screens in 2017.
ITV have said that the show “will celebrate the most iconic pop video and dance movie sequences of all time. On a truly epic scale celebrities, together with a partner of their choice, will recreate dance performances audiences will know and love.”
The broadcaster has also revealed that Dance Dance Dance will “employ amazing state of the art special effects to re-enact legendary routines from Michael Jackson’s ‘Bad’ and Madonna’s ‘Vogue’ to Beyoncé’s ‘Crazy in Love’ and Britney Spears’ ‘Baby One More Time’.”
The six episode run will be hosted by former Strictly judge Alesha Dixon.
Alesha will also be joined by presenter Will Best and the two hosts have already spoken about their excitement about the new show.
Alesha said: “The art of dance has always played a big part in my life so this show is the perfect fit for me. The standard of dance is very high and I can’t wait for the public to see these iconic performances brought back to life.”
