Love Island’s Rachel Fenton and Rykard Jenkins have moved in together
We all had our doubts about whether Love Island contestants Rachel Fenton and Rykard Jenkins would survive as a couple after the show finished this summer. Given the bad track record of relationships lasting from the dating show, alongside Rykard’s questionable antics during his time on the Island, it seemed like it would only be a matter of time before the pair split.
On the contrary, Rachel and Rykard appear to be going from strength to strength! This week the couple confirmed that they are now living together, proving all the cynics wrong. Rachel posted a selfie of the two of them drinking some bubbly in celebration, captioning the photo with, “So myself and Mr Jenkins have officially moved in together! Our new place couldn’t be more perfect – I’ve never been happier”.
Rykard has also declared that he has officially met the Fenton family: “I love them and they have really welcomed me with open arms. Rachel is yet to meet my family as we’ve been so busy in London. We thought we might get a break to we have a busy couple of months ahead.
“We’ve planned a couple of holidays – we’re going to go to America. We’ve got jobs to do as well. We’re just doing what couples do.”
During this year’s Love Island, Rachel was voted out of the villa. To show his devotion to his new girl, Rykard also quit the show, following her off of the island. Earlier this year, Rykard explained how leaving the show had actually worked out for the best in the end: “In that villa it’s like a pressure cooker and they try and manipulate you to how they want.”
“That’s why I don’t feel too sorry for anyone who is staying in the show when they have an opportunity to leave. If you stay in the show and your partner is out, you’re in it more for yourself then as a couple.”
The duo certainly appear to be very happy together now, constantly posting adoring pictures of each other on social media, and revealing to the press how they “can’t keep our hands off each other”. We wish them the best of luck together in their new home.
