Love Island’s Montana Brown confirms split from Alex Beattie
Montana Brown and Alex Beattie have called off their relationship, just two weeks after the Love Island finale.
They appeared to exit the ITV2 series as a pretty solid couple at the end of last month, what with the pair making the relationship official on the show and Alex even dropping the L bomb a fair few times. However, following rumours of a potential split, Montana took to Instagram this morning to confirm the break-up news.
Posting a screenshot of a written note on her Insta story, the Love Island contestant confessed how her and Alex have struggled to make it work outside the villa.
“Alex and I have decided to split. Making our relationship work on the outside has been hard,” she told her followers.
“He hasn’t been the same since coming out of the villa. Despite this we are still close and I will always support him.”
Speculation over a split was initially sparked when fans of the show noticed a distinct lack of photos posted by the two Islanders on social media.
Montana fuelled rumours further when she admitted her and Alex “are doing our thing”. Speaking to The Sun Online when she was announced brand ambassador for Pretty Little Thing, she confessed: “We are doing our thing at the moment.
“I don’t know if we will have time or be able to do any joint shoots in the future.”
Love Island series 1, 2 & 3 are available to watch on ITV Hub.
