Jeremy McConnell has been charged with assault and criminal damage.
A Merseyside Police representative has released a statement, explaining: “Merseyside Police can confirm Jeremy McConnell, 27 years, of I Boroimhe Laurels, Swords, Ireland has been charged with assault and criminal damage following an incident in Stephenson Grove, Rainhill on 9 March 2017.”

At the time of his arrest, Jeremy’s rep confirmed that he denied any wrongdoing. They said: “Jeremy denies any wrongdoing, however he is fully cooperating with the police in their investigations.”
This follows the news on March 16, when Merseyside Police confirmed the Celebrity Big Brother star had been arrested and was currently being held by police.
At the time, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “Following a report of an assault at an address in Stephenson Grove, Rainhill, a man has this morning (Thursday, 16 March) been arrested.
“A 27-year-old man from Liverpool city centre has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage after voluntarily attending a police station on Merseyside.
“He remains in police custody for questioning.”
Jeremy and Stephanie Davis have been seen together on numerous occasions since the incident was reported, and the couple appeared to have rekindled a romance after it was revealed Jeremy attended rehab to deal with drink and drug use.
