Jenna Dewan-Tatum Joins Supergirl
Jenna Dewan-Tatum is the latest star to be confirmed for CBS’s forthcoming show Supergirl.
Mrs Channing Tatum will be taking on the recurring role of Lucy Lane, Superman character Lois Lane’s younger sister, when she joins the series in episode three.
Like the titular protagonist Kara Zor-El – who will be played by Glee star Melissa Benoit – Lucy allegedly has a ‘history’ with Supergirl’s colleague Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), and in the comic books has previously been one of several characters who has assumed the Supergirl identity. However, in the Greg Barlanti’s show it is so far unclear what role little Lane will have in the overarching plot.
With regards to Dewan-Tatum, this isn’t her first foray into the supernatural world having in recent years taken on roles in American Horror Story and Witches of East End, despite being more known for her lead role in 2006 dance movie, Step Up with husband Channing Tatum.
Also in recent news, the show has confirmed that Sons of Anarchy alum Chris Browning will play Ben Krull, aka the villain Reactron. He joins Peter Facinelli (The Twilight Saga, Nurse Jackie) who was confirmed as DC Comics character Maxwell Lord at Comic-Con.
The series premieres on October 26, with Dewan-Tatum to be first seen in the third episode.
