I’m A Celebrity’s Ant and Dec sign new three year contract with ITV
Presenters Ant and Dec have signed a new three year contract with ITV.
The well-loved Geordie duo have extended their partnership with broadcaster ITV after signing another three year deal which will see them appear exclusively on the channel until 2019.
The contract will include more series of popular shows I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Britain’s Got Talent and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
The presenters described themselves as “delighted” in a joint statement: “We are absolutely delighted to be extending our relationship with ITV, to continue on the three shows we love as well as exploring further opportunities both in front of and behind the camera.
“This deal will take us past the 20-year mark with ITV and we couldn’t be happier.”
ITV’s Director of Television, Kevin Lygo, also voiced his excitement, reflecting on the pair’s success with ITV audiences so far: “Ant and Dec are quite simply brilliant entertainers and I’m thrilled that we will be working together for another three years.
“They are incredibly passionate about television and have that rare ability to connect with audiences of all ages, which has helped make the shows they present some of the biggest on British TV.”
Ant and Dec joined ITV back in 1998 as presenters of Saturday morning shows, meaning their new three year contract with mark 20 years of their relationship with the broadcaster.
So in the mean time we comfortably watch this year’s I’m A Celeb knowing we have a whole three years more to enjoy with the Geordie duo. Excellent!
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight (Monday) at 9pm on ITV.
