Which I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant is getting paid the most?
Reports have emerged regarding the stars’ appearance fees for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!.
The official list of celebrities that will be heading into the jungle for the ITV reality series was released this week and it certainly looks like an interesting array of personalities.
Alleged fees for the show have emerged today and if they are true then there is a whopping £175,000 difference between the highest paid and lowest paid star!
According to The Sun, former Countdown presenter Carol Vorderman was ITV’s highest demand having been offered a mouth-watering £200,000 cheque.
And it looks as though Eastenders‘ Larry Lamb and Emmerdale‘s Adam Thomas aren’t far behind the 55-year-old presenter as the two actors have also reportedly signed six-figure deals. Former footballer Wayne Bridge is up there with the highest paid celebs too and is supposedly receiving a tasty £150,000 for his appearance. Perhaps the ITV producers were hoping to lure him into the jungle with a large paycheque in the hope that he might discuss the affair his ex-Chelsea teammate John Terry had with his then-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel.
Strictly dancer Ola Jordan has apparently been given £90,000, while Gogglebox‘s Scarlett Moffatt, radio DJ Lisa Snowdon and Olympic hockey gold medallist Sam Quek will be paid between £70,000 and £40,000.
Comedian Joel Dommett and Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo are said to be this year’s lowest paid contestants, each earning around £25,000.
There might be some difference in wages but the beauty of I’m A Celeb is that this has no bearing on their chances of becoming King or Queen of the Jungle, and even the lowest paid stars will still receive excellent career-boosting exposure from appearing on the programme. So it really is anyone’s game.
Which celeb do you think has the potential to go all the way and win the title?
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will return Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
