Honey G will do the Mannequin Challenge live on the X Factor
Honey G will do the Mannequin Challenge live on air during her X Factor performance tomorrow night (Saturday, November 26).
This week’s X Factor theme is ‘Louis Loves’ but, since we are now down to just five remaining contestants, each act will also be expected to perform a second song of their own choice.
Honey G found herself in the bottom two for the first time ever last weekend and will really need to pull out every possible stop to save her from the same fate this time around, especially after Simon Cowell admitted: “The truth is, unless Honey G performs a miracle, she’s not going to win this show.”
But could it be that this miracle will take place in the form of the latest internet craze, the Mannequin Challenge?
Not only has Honey opted for what sounds like one hell of a mashup with “Push It” by Salt-n-Pepa and ”Black Beatles” by Rae Sremmurd, but the rapping contestant also plans on adding a little something extra to her performance…
According to The Sun, Honey G will do the Mannequin Challenge during her rendition and plans on involving judges Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.
A source explained: “She came up with the amazing idea of doing a Mannequin Challenge live on the show and getting all the judges involved. It’s a big risk in front of millions of viewers as it could all go horribly wrong, but if she pulls it off it will be huge.
“After ending up in the bottom two last week she is doing everything she can to get into the semis.”
The Mannequin Challenge has become a global sensation after being started by teenagers in a US high school last month. Many celebrities have gotten on board with the trend, including the likes of Beyonce and the Kardashians. And now Honey G will too!
For her ‘Louis Loves’ performance, Honey will also tackle “U Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer mixed with “Super Freak” by Rick James.
We hope you’re ready for a double helping of Honey G this weekend. We must admit, we’re certainly intrigued by this one…
X Factor continues Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
