Hayley Hughes and Charlie Frederick clash on Love Island: Aftersun
Hayley Hughes and Charlie Frederick came face to face in an incredibly awkward showdown during last night’s Love Island: Aftersun.
It all kicked off during the spin-off show last night, when dumped islanders Charlie and Hayley were reunited for an interview with Caroline Flack.
The pair had initially hit it off when Charlie first entered the Love Island villa, leading Hayley to ditch Eyal and couple up with Charlie instead.
However, tensions soon started to grow between the duo and it was Charlie and Hayley who were voted out after being chosen as the least compatible couple in the villa.
Appearing on Sunday night’s Aftersun, Charlie made it pretty clear he blamed Hayley for his departure and went as far as to claim he’d still be on the island if he hadn’t paired up with her.
Annoyed by his remark, Hayley asked her former flame how he could be so sure when he was up against fan favourite Alex, to which Charlie replied: “Because you weren’t liked”.
Jumping to Hayley’s defence, host Caroline Flack shouted: “Charlie!”
Hayley hit back: “The nation is behind Alex because they genuinely want him to find love, so you can’t be so certain that you would be not voted out when you’re up against Alex. So have a little think on that one!”
Charlie shrugged off Hayley’s comments, remaining adamant he “might not have been in the bottom two” to begin with had he been coupled up with a different girl.
Love Island continues tonight (Monday) at 9pm on ITV2.
