Grab your Scooby Snacks, ‘cos Scooby is back!
That’s right, everyone’s favourite Hanna-Barbera character and his gang are heading back to the big screen as Warner Bros is reuniting Scooby and his Mystery Inc team for a new animated adventure directed by Tony Cervone.
Cervone has a multitude of experience with Hanna-Barbera characters having worked on Scooby-Doo shows Mystery Incorporated, Music of the Vampire and Camp Scare.
Warner Bros creative president Greg Silverman announced yesterday: “Like countless fans, I have always loved the Hanna-Barbera cast of characters.
“As one of their most famous brand ambassadors, Scooby-Doo will take the lead in re-introducing this pantheon of enduringly popular animated stars on a grand scale with an exciting new movie.”
Scooby and the gang previously graced our screens in a feature film back in 2002 and 2004 when a live-action reboot was made starring Freddie Prince Jr and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Those films’ producers Charles Roven and Richard Suckle are also involved in the new adventure as well, with the next Scooby-Doo due to open on September 21, 2018.
