Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner teases ‘more death than all the years before’ in season 8
Game of Thrones actor Sophie Turner has promised season eight will be the bloodiest yet.
Speaking to Gold Derby, the Sansa Stark actor revealed the final season will feature “more death” and will be “more emotionally torturous” than ever before.
“I can tell you that there’s definitely a coming together of people,” she teased. “Everyone is coming together to fight the impending doom. There’s a lot of tension between these little groups, battling for what they think is right.
“It’s Game of Thrones, so it’s going to be bloodier and more death and more emotionally torturous than all the years before!”
GoT‘s Hannah Murray also previously warned fans shouldn’t expect a “fairytale happy ending” to the show.
“It’s not like a fairytale happy ending by any means at all and I think it’s a really wonderful final season,” she told Watchers on the Wall. “I’m really excited for people to get to see it.”
The star continued to recall the first time she read the season eight script. She said: “I knew to expect the unexpected. Anything that felt too obvious to me I knew was not going to be what [happened].
“So there were certain things where I was like, ‘Well it can’t be that but I don’t know what it is going to be.'”
Game of Thrones season 8 will return in 2019.
