Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington to play truth-telling game on The Jonathan Ross Show about Jon Snow’s future
Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will play a game called “The Stone of Truth” on tomorrow’s episode of The Jonathan Ross Show, it has been revealed.
The Jon Snow actor will answer questions about Game of Thrones and the future of his character, who most fans are convinced will somehow survive the brutal mutiny that saw Snow bleed to death in last year’s season finale, in a game called ‘The Stone of Truth’. Depending on the quality of Harington’s answers to Jonathan’s questions, Harington will receive an electric shock.
Also on tomorrow’s episode, Harington reveals that it is not only the diehard fans who are obsessed with the fate of Jon Snow. Even members of the royal family have taken an interest. Harington said: “Me and my brother got invited to Wimbledon as you do and a Royal was hosting, we didn’t know which Royal it was and it was the Duchess of Cornwall and she was hosting it and we got sat with her, me and my brother, and she leant over the table and said ‘Are you dead?’ No word of a lie.”
Asked how he keeps secrets about Game of Thrones, Harington said: “I am no longer involved in the show so any secrets that are with the show I don’t actually know anymore, so it becomes very easy Jonathan. You’re looking at me like you don’t believe me. It’s going to be so relieving when people actually see the show and realise that I don’t come back.”
An unconvinced Jonathan queried Harington’s recent admission that he does appear in the sixth season – as a corpse – and the two months of filming he was spotted doing in Belfast. Harington replied: “I won’t tell you how many episodes I’m lying dead but it’s enough that I was out there for quite a while. It’s going to be so satisfying when you see it and you realise that I was telling the truth the whole time.”
