6 shows we can’t wait to watch on FOX this Autumn
Autumn is here, bringing orange leaves, cooling temperatures and a stack of new television for us to enjoy.
That’s especially true on FOX, where the months ahead are filled with the UK premieres of exciting international dramas. From the hit new adaptation of Steven Spielberg’s Minority Report, to a musical comedy that will tug at your heartstrings – Autumn on FOX has something for everybody.
Here’s what we’re looking forward to on FOX this Autumn…
1. Take Two
The new crime series Take Two stars Rachel Bilson as a washed up actor, Sam Swift, who talks her way into shadowing private investigator Eddie Valetik (Eddie Cibrian) as research for a comeback acting gig.
To everyone’s surprise, Sam’s acting skills prove invaluable to solving their first case together – and maybe a change in career could be in order.
Premieres 4th October on FOX at 8pm
2. The Family
The Academy Award-nominated Joan Allen stars as ambitious and manipulative town mayor, Claire Warren, whose life is changed when her long lost son Adam returns to town.
The shocking reappearance of the presumed-dead Adam rocks the Warren family to its core as they re-examine who they are and uncover decades of buried secrets and heartbreak.
Premieres on FOX 11th October at 9pm
3. Mr Inbetween
The critically acclaimed drama from FX Australia arrives on FOX this October, with two seasons of fresh content to get stuck into and a third season currently in the works.
It stars Scott Ryan as Ray Shoesmith, a part time hit man and part time family man. Ray’s life involves balancing relationships with his daughter, girlfriend and sick brother, with his violent dealings with criminals. It’s a difficult balance, one that may start to unravel…
Premieres on FOX on 29th October at 10pm
4. Minority Report
A new TV adaptation of the Steven Spielberg hit, Minority Report follows the same premise: a law enforcement agency tasked with identifying and eliminating criminals before they commit crimes.
Three people with the ability to see the future, known as precogs, are at the heart of the agency. That is, until new technology renders their skills less important than before. What will become of the precogs now?
Minority Report stars Wilmer Valderrama (NCIS), Nick Zano (Legends of Tomorrow), and Meagan Good (Prodigal Son).
Premieres on FOX on 21st October at 9pm
5. Perfect Harmony
Looking for something a little more upbeat? Perfect Harmony is the musical comedy we’ve all been waiting for.
Pitch Perfect‘s Anna Camp and Handmaid’s Tale’s Bradley Whitford star in this new series, about a former Princeton music professor, Arthur Cochran, who stumbles across a choir practice at a small town church. This band of misfits are in need of more help than just singing the right notes, but Arthur might be the missing piece of the puzzle.
Premieres on FOX on 1st November at 10pm
The Hangover‘s Zach Galifianakis stars in this Emmy Award-winning comedy drama as both Chip Baskets, an aspiring clown, and his twin brother Dale Baskets.
After 49 years of living with his mum, Chip decides it’s time to leave the nest. It’s a little harder than he anticipated, however, even with the help of best friend Martha and a life coach.
Premieres on FOX on 2nd November
