FOX UK announces The Walking Dead return date
The Walking Dead series 7 will premiere in the UK on Monday, October 24 on FOX UK, less than 24 hours after its release in the US.
The news follows the announcement of the American return date at a Walking Dead panel at San Diego Comic Con, which took place over the weekend.
The panel also saw the unveiling of a thrilling new trailer for the zombie series, in which new characters such as King Ezekiel and Shiva the tiger have been spotted.
Series six left off after Rick’s group of survivors were captured by the infamous Negan, the vicious leader of post-apocalypse community The Saviors. Negan proceeded to play the world’s most terrifying version of ‘eenie meenie minie moe’, with the final person clobbered to death with his barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat Lucille. The cliffhanger? We still don’t know who it was.
A recent worldwide industry study revealed The Walking Dead to be the world’s most ‘in-demand’ show, after receiving the highest average ‘Global Average Demand Rating’. The metric was developed by data and technology specialists Parrot Analytics and is based upon demand for a service expressed on streaming platforms, media platforms, sharing platforms, blogs, rating platforms, wikis and information sites, peer-to-peer protocols, and file-sharing platforms. The Walking Dead‘s Global Average Demand Rating was 81.05 across the 54 territories examined in the study.
The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman recently told reporters there would be “some surprises” that even fans of the comics won’t see coming.
