Former cast member reveals the truth about whether The Only Way Is Essex is fake
Former The Only Way Is Essex star Kirk Norcross has opened up about the “set up scenes” on the show.
According to the 28-year-old, although the ITVBe series does genuinely portray the real lives of the Essex inhabitants, it is the “set up scenes” that he “can’t buy”.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Kirk revealed: “It is the only reality show that I think is still a good show.
“I never watch it now though. It’s not that its set up as it is their life but it the way they set up the scenes.
“When two people bump into each other they haven’t – they have been waiting in the cold for an hour the poor f***ers.”
He confessed: “I can’t buy into that bit and I do get upset by it as I know it is their lives.
“I feel bad for them.”
The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate admitted that he would like to return to the show for a short appearance, but would not want to make a comeback as a full time cast member.
“I would love to go back for a little bit.
“They showed my terrible pulling and my terrible relationship skills but now I don’t have to impress anyone or have beef with anyone so it would be great.”
Elsewhere, the TOWIE cast were recently subject to an “unprovoked attack” by a group of “thugs” while filming in Tenerife.
According to The Sun newspaper, stars Chloe Sims, Georgia Kousoulou, Liam Gatsby and Tommy Mallet, as well as two members of the film crew, were approached by an aggressive gang during the early hours of the morning.
A spokesperson for The Only Way Is Essex confirmed in a statement: “Our cast and crew were subject to an unprovoked attack following a night out in Tenerife.
“Thankfully the group were able to get to the safety of the hotel with no one seriously injured. The team are now safely back in the UK.”
The Only Way Is Essex will return soon to ITVBe.
