The first sneak peek of The Walking Dead season 8 has arrived
A first-look at season eight of The Walking Dead has been unveiled and we’re excited to see two fan favourites back together again.
The image shows Daryl and Carol looking pretty damn badass as they chill by Daryl’s motorbike and moodily stare into the distance. And no doubt the two characters are preparing themselves for war after the explosive confrontation with Negan and the Saviours in the season seven finale…
If you’re excited to see Daryl and Carol reunited once more, then you’ll be pleased to hear there is plenty more where that came from. Showrunner Scott M. Gimple told Entertainment Weekly that there will be a lot of characters interacting with each other that we’ve never seen before this season.
“The season finale last year, seeing all the characters together interacting as one, was thrilling.
“It was exciting to see all these configurations of characters we hadn’t seen before. Even Aaron merely giving Jerry an apple felt satisfying.”
He also revealed season eight will continue to move at a fast pace now that all-out battle has begun, and there will not be any more single-arc episodes.
He said: “Things are going to move, and possibly not have the kind of deep dives into characters in single episodes, but rather laying out the pieces as we go on.”
The Walking Dead will return later this year on FOX in the UK.
