Ferne McCann breaks social media silence following recent pregnancy announcement
Ferne McCann has broken her social media silence after liking a cryptic message about “long distance relationships”.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star has kept a low profile on social media since the news of her pregnancy. The baby announcement was made shortly after the arrest of her ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins, who was involved in the London acid attack this month.
After staying absent from Twitter and Instagram for the last couple of weeks, Ferne has now liked a post by Geordie Shore‘s Vicky Pattison which said: “I miss your face”.
Ferne’s ex Arthur was recently arrested and charged with 14 counts of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and one count of throwing corrosive fluid on a person with intent to do grievous bodily harm in connection with the acid attack in London nightspot Mangle on 17 April. It was later confirmed that the Celebs Go Dating star was pregnant with his baby.
The news concerned Ferne’s close friends, who revealed the star is detaching herself from everyone around her. A source told The Sun Online: “We had no idea [she was pregnant]. It’s really worrying – we don’t know what she’s going to do now, it’s really sad, we’re all here for her but she’s not speaking to anyone. We don’t even know where she is.
“She wouldn’t have wanted it to be like this. It’s really sad… she isn’t getting to celebrate being pregnant like other first time mum’s – she doesn’t deserve this, she is a lovely girl and she deserves only happiness. Everyone is really concerned for her.
“We feel really sad for Ferne as she has not been able to celebrate what should be the happiest time of her life because her pregnancy has been tainted by such a horrific tragedy.
“The abuse on Twitter is terrible – hopefully people won’t hold it against her and it won’t affect her career because it’s not fair on her.”
