Deadpool fans went into overdrive last night when Ryan Reynolds posted a cheeky poster on Instagram which heavily hinted at a release date for the sequel.
Ahhhhh, @mutant101. Isn’t this a felony?

Whilst the poster in completely in-keeping with previous marketing material for the first film, it turns out this is a fan-made poster inspired by the superhero film. As we can see by the caption, Reynolds is simply praising “mutant101″ for his/her ingenuity. The fake promo poster sees a defaced toilet sign depicting Wolverine and Professor X in the place of the usual “male” and “disabled” symbols.
However, this does hint at a potential release date for the much-anticpated sequel. Underneath “coming soon” the poster reads “‘soon’ as in 2018”.
According to Deadpool’s producer, Simon Kinberg, the script is being worked on with shooting set to begin in early 2017 – so who knows, this tongue-in-cheek advertisement may be more truth than teasing.
No storyline has been confirmed for the sequel, but if we want to trust Deadpool’s word it could be concerning Cyclops’ son Cable.
