Daniel Radcliffe wants a role in Game of Thrones
Our two favourite fantasy worlds could be about to collide. At least, they will if Daniel Radcliffe has his way.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Radcliffe professed an interest in joining the cast of Game of Thrones and suffering a brutal death.
He said: “I would love to [appear for a short stint on Game of Thrones]. If they want to just bring me in and f**king kill me, I would be so happy to do that.”
Game of Thrones, much like Harry Potter, has attracted the cream at the top of British acting in its six years on screen.
Radcliffe’s former Potter co-stars David Bradley and Natalia Tena have both already appeared on the fantasy hit. Both suffered gruesome deaths involving multiple stab wounds and the Stark family.
Former potions professor Jim Broadbent is also scheduled to appear on the upcoming seventh season of the show, which will air next year. While his role is currently unknown, sources have claimed it is “significant”.
Fans have speculated Broadbent will be portraying Marwyn the Mage, an archmaester at the Citadel where Sam is currently studying.
Daniel Radcliffe will next appear in Imperium, where he plays a FBI agent undercover as a neo-Nazi. The film is due to be released on September 23 in the UK.
He will also portray a flatulent corpse (yes, you read that correctly) in Swiss Army Man, which is due out on September 30.
Game of Thrones will return in summer 2017.
