Daisy Lowe breaks down in tears over Strictly Come Dancing elimination
Daisy Lowe has gotten all emotional about her Strictly Come Dancing exit, admitting: “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed.”
Daisy and her professional partner Aljaž Skordjanec are the latest couple to leave Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday after losing a dance-off to Olympian Greg Rutherford and Natalie Lowe.
Appearing on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two last night (November 14), Daisy spoke about her departure from the programme.
When Zoe Ball played back Daisy’s highlights from the show, the model became teary reminiscing over her time on the BBC series.
With a comforting hug from her dance partner Aljaž, Daisy confessed: “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed, but I’m excited to watch my beautiful friends smash it in Blackpool.”
The Strictly contestant also thanked her “hero” Aljaž, who said: “It was a beautiful I-don’t-know-how-many weeks.”
However, Strictly pro Brendan Cole called Daisy and Aljaž’s elimination “the right call” this weekend.
Writing in his Digital Spy column, he said: “I was not surprised to see Daisy go – as harsh as it sounds, I think I called it pretty early,
“Salsa’s a funny one – it’s an easy dance to do, but it’s a hard dance to get the audience behind you for some reason.
“There’s a lack of magic about it. I’m not sure what it is, but as soon as I knew it was salsa I thought, ‘Ooh, crikey, that’s going to be tough’.”
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6:45pm on BBC One.
