Channel 5 planning new “even more outrageous” show to rival Ex On The Beach
MTV better watch out because Channel 5 are planning a show to blow Ex On The Beach out of the water.
Reportedly, producer Suzanne Readwin is in the midst of thinking up a brand new series to rival the explosive Ex On The Beach.
Readwin was originally behind EOTB, a show that surprises a group of single holiday goers looking for love by throwing in their exes to stir up the drama. Allegedly, the producer has now started planning an “even more outrageous” programme after being dropped by MTV this year.
A source revealed to The Sun newspaper: “Suzanne and her husband are making a rival show for Channel 5 since she wasn’t rehired by MTV this year.
“Ex On The Beach is so profitable and popular that she’s decided to make her own similar format show to rival it.”
The producer has also been behind reality series such as The Only Way Is Essex and Geordie Shore, and so certainly knows how to create a successful show.
And apparently, Readwin wants this one to be the most controversial yet.
The insider explained: “She wants it to be just as racy and even more outrageous. With all the racy content on Channel 5 right now she thinks the channel will be the perfect outlet for her new format.”
We’re not quite sure how it can get more outrageous than Ex On The Beach, but we’re definitely intrigued to find out!
The MTV series proved immensely popular when it hit screens six series ago, and has produced massive stars that have gone on to other TV shows such as TOWIE, Celebrity Big Brother and Celebs Go Dating.
They include Chloe Goodman, Megan Mckenna and Stephen Bear, and there are even rumours that Jemma Lucy could be joining the CBB house for the summer series this year.
