Britain’s Got Talent judges moved to tears over Kate McCann’s Missing People Choir audition
The Britain’s Got Talent judges were reduced to tears after watching an emotional performance by the Missing People Choir.
Britain’s Got Talent will be returning to television screens for an 11th series this year. Although the first audition stages are still in progress, it looks as though we could already have a favourite to win on our hands.
The Missing People Choir put on a heartfelt performance of “I Miss You” for their audition. Kate McCann, mother of Madeleine McCann, is an ambassador for the Missing People charity and the choir is made up of people who have missing family members or loved ones.
The group includes Peter Lawrence, father of Claudia Lawrence, and Peter Boxell, father of Lee Boxell, Denise Allan, mother of Charles Horvath Allan, Sarah Godwin, mother of Quentin Godwin, Emma Cullingford, daughter of Sandra Hall, and Rachel Edwards, sister of Richard Edwards.
Their performance was reported to have been incredibly moving, with the BGT judges breaking down in tears as the choir sang the touching track.
A source informed The Sun: “Images of some of the missing people they were linked to also flashed up on the screen which had everyone in tears.
“Judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon were particularly moved. Amanda said they were an inspiration.
“The choir said they had only performed together about seven times.
“You could tell in their voices how much it means to them all.”
The lyrics include the lines: “I never thought I’d be without you. I always thought you’d be here safe with me.
“Maybe tomorrow I’ll wake up to find you.”
A BGT insider continued: “Their story is unbelievably moving so it’s certain to capture the hearts of the nation.
“It’s ten years since Maddie went missing so if they got through to the live shows it’s possible Kate will want to be involved.”
