Attractive people watch Sherlock and Game of Thrones, reveals new survey
A new survey has revealed that singles find those who watch Sherlock and Game of Thrones more attractive than those who don’t.
The survey, by EliteSingles UK, revealed that 82% of participants aged between 18 and 29 believed that having the same taste in shows was an attractive quality. Sherlock was considered the most desirable show for prospective partners to watch, with 23% of those surveyed agreeing they found those who watched it more attractive.
Second was The Big Bang Theory with 22%, with Game of Thrones in third place with 20%.
However, the survey also revealed television turn offs. Soap fans scored particularly poorly, with more than half of those surveyed (54%) saying liking EastEnders was an unattractive quality and 49% saying the same of Coronation Street.
It wasn’t just soaps that took a hit, however. Doctor Who fans were also singled out as unattractive to EliteSingles users, with 22% ranking the series in their top television turn offs.
EliteSingles also quizzed users on which television stars they would like to share a sofa with during a binge-watching session, and the results were unsurprising – Poldark‘s Aidan Turner was the man most women wanted to Netflix and Chill with.
Despite a distaste for partners liking Doctor Who, men had no such aversion to former star Billie Piper – who was their favourite star to watch television with.
