11 of the darn cutest kids on TV
Whilst the arrival of a baby can sometimes be the death of a successful television programme, get the right tiny actor in and you’ve got yourself a hit. These 11 little angels were instant improvements on their respective shows whether for their cherubic chubby cheeks or their uninhibited witticisms.
Thaddeus Montgomery – American Horror Story
Of all the f***ed up things in American Horror Story: Murder House, this is one of the worst. This angelic little boy is the child of dysfunctional couple Dr. Charles and Nora Montgomery. The poor thing never stood a chance with parents like his. After getting into financial troubles, the couple start to perform illegal abortions and when one went wrong, an angry boyfriend took it out on the innocent Thaddeus.
Receiving the dismembered body parts of his son in jars tipped Charles over the edge of insanity and he attempted to piece Thaddeus back together in a horrific Frankenstein-like experiment. The result of which, well, see for yourself…
Holly White – Breaking Bad
Poor Holly became a bit of a weapon between Skyler and Walt but she looked SO DARN CUTE whilst it was happening. In this particular scene she’d been dumped in a fire truck by Walt in the latest argument between the pair. Just look at that bottom lip pout, no wonder Aunt Marie was always trying to steal her.
Lily Tucker-Pritchett – Modern Family
We all rejoiced when Cam and Mitchell decided to adopt adorable baby Lily. We rejoiced even louder when she grew up and became the sassiest little miss you will ever encounter. From her Lion King style entrance we knew Lily would be a special addition to the mad Pritchett/Dunphy/Tucker family and she has not disappointed.
Emma Gellar-Green – Friends
The moment Ross and Rachel spawned a child, we knew it would be gorgeous. No matter that they both have full time jobs and we have no idea how they managed childcare, we loved her every appearance. This clip is especially cute, showcasing her exceptional timing that didn’t quite make the final cut.
Stewie Griffin – Family Guy
Have you ever wondered what babies are actually trying to tell us? Luckily, Seth MacFarlane did that thinking for us and created Stewie Griffin as a verbose one year old, keen to take over the world and with occasionally murderous thoughts towards his mother.
Michelle Tanner – Full House
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were essentially raised as cast members on Full House, sharing the portrayal of youngest sister Michelle. Their genuine loving relationships with their fellow castmates is obvious in every scene and only serves to emphasise the intense CUTENESS of these girls.
Jamie Scott – One Tree Hill
With parents like Nathan and Hayley, Jamie was bound to be a cute kid. What we didn’t know is just how friggin’ great his personality would be. Jamie is everybody’s best friend – even the evil Dan Scott whom many a fan would find difficult to forgive. His best friend of all is his giant bunny Chester who makes a great appearance in this clip.
Baby Sinclair – Dinosaurs
The cutest wisecracking dinosaur you’ll ever see. Baby Sinclair has a bit of a violent streak towards his father, utilising any kitchen implements he can get his hands on, but his sarcastic comments are too endearing to keep anyone mad at him for long. Just look at those big eyes in that weird puppet head and try to not love him.
Maggie Simpson – The Simpsons
How a yellow animated baby can be so expressive with a dummy in her mouth for 99% of the time we do not know, but Maggie carries it off with aplomb. She has a lot of character and isn’t afraid to show it – most noticeably in the infamous “Who Shot Mr. Burns?” episodes.
Karen – Outnumbered
Karen is the kind of child that asks “why?’ over and over again until you want your head to explode just to stop the conversation. Luckily, this makes for fantastic television and some hilarious put-downs that any adult would be proud to whip out mid-argument.
Tommy Pickles – Rugrats
The leader of the (baby) pack. He is the Harry Potter of the baby world; kind, loyal and brave leader of his motley crew of toddlers, he takes them on daring adventures and makes sure everyone has a great time doing it. He stand up to his bossy cousin Angelica and is fiercely protective of younger brother Dil when he comes along. All in all, he’s a top bloke.
